The UK Tivoli User Group is an independent, non-profit forum which allows Tivoli users to collaborate with IBM and their peers on all aspects of Tivoli Software.
TUG is run bi-annually, with the next meeting taking place on the 12th May at IBM Southbank. Elyzium is responsible for the Scheduling/Workload Automation track, and we strive to put together an agenda which is as relevant and interesting to users of TWS as possible. It’s a free, must attend event for users of Tivoli Software, and includes tracks and sessions for Workload Scheduling, Storage, Monitoring and Netcool, along with hands-on labs and the opportunity to sit IBM certifications.
From a workload scheduling perspective, we are very pleased to be welcoming Alexandra Thurel from the IBM labs in Rome to run through the latest updates on TWS for distributed environments, and IBM’s Dean Harrison will do the same for z/OS whilst sharing some hints and tips of things to consider for an uneventful upgrade. We’ll also hear from Yorkshire Building Society’s Nigel Jowett, and Elyzium’s Probal Sil and Suhail Aslam, about their recent trip to Albuquerque, USA, for ASAP University, and what they learnt whilst there. The event will also provide the opportunity to network and share information with fellow TWS users, and sit IBM certifications.
The group always likes to hear from end user organisations about their experiences of using TWS. If you would like to present then please get in touch.
You can view a draft copy of the full agenda and register on the UK TUG group page of the IBM Middleware User Community website. If you would like further information or have any questions then please don’t hesitate to contact us.
